Get to know the Role:
We are looking for a City Manager Medan to lead the operations, and represent Grab in the city of Medan. We believe a successful candidate has several key skill sets such as: leadership, complex problem solving, data analysis, critical and structured thinking, and project management, but if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you either way. This role is required because the region is growing rapidly and aiming to contribute more towards the communities.

The day-to-day activities:

  • You are responsible to lead the overall Grab operations in Medan, driving hyperlocal strategy and collaboration initiatives with both external and internal stakeholders to grow the business in Medan.
  • You are responsible to own the P&L for both topline and bottomline of the business, ensuring the business is running in a sustainable growth You lead the analytical and conceptual problem-solving initiatives with the agility to shift directions quickly as needed.
  • You are accountable to understand the market and competition dynamics, be agile on facing the competitive landscape and driving a viable business.
  • You are responsible in managing your team, setting priorities and goals to achieve regional and company OKRs.
  • You are accountable to accept challenging assignments, help leaders make tough decisions, partner and overcome obstacles to deliver results.
  • You are responsible in identifying, comprehending and synthesizing internal and industry data, creating hypothesis of trends and assessing business risks
