About the Role
Every business revolves around money, as it is one of the most important parts in business. As our PM on Financials based in Jakarta, you’ll manage products that facilitate all payment transactions that are to be settled to merchants. The scale will be upwards of a million transactions on a daily basis and the key products that you will be managing would include the merchant wallet, calculation and deduction engines. These products form the backbone of the Merchant Platform and are critical for Gojek’s ability to monetize from merchants. You will be responsible for building the roadmap and vision around how to scale the work of our merchant finance team that enables us to grow. The folks in the engineering, business, design, and research team(s) will be your companions on this ride. Your efforts will directly influence the happiness, stickiness and trust of merchants on our platform and for other product groups in Gojek, these products will be invaluable to drive their monetization and revenue realization efforts.
What You Will Do
- Formulate the long-term product strategy, half yearly OKRs, and strategic initiatives to ensure delivery of key business goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a product roadmap; Ship impactful features that help us delight our merchants and increase their trust
- Capture insights from merchant feedback, experiments, research, and data analysis to identify trends and pinpoint the drivers behind them; Translate these insights into tactical solutions to improve the product both on the back end side to the front end side
- Be a merchant advocate; Articulate their needs and deliver user-friendly solutions to solve their problems
- Be the finance team advocate; making sure that we understand their pain points and deliver solutions to erase their pain points
- Influence peers, stakeholders, and key executives through the use of data and logic.
- Mentor direct reports, and lead by example
What You Will Need
- At least 7 years of product management experience
- A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering or management
- An entrepreneurial mindset; Comfortable working in a complex and face-paced environment
- Data-oriented with excellent analytical skills; Able to dig into data to discover nuances, and define & measure success on every project
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
- Able to lead a team of few PMs
- Able to work with agile product development teams and identify new ways to help your team be effective. Experience of working with distributed teams is desired
- Fluent in English and a confident communicator. Being empathetic to customer and colleagues
